A key part of what I'm doing differently is looking for income the government can use other than tax revenue. It's funny that they always talk about "running the government like a business", but they never let the government run businesses.
We're going to set up a streaming service for the Library of Congress and charge $10. Maybe we'll start a cheese company. These explicitly for-profit projects won't limit access to tax-provided services like the library itself, and it'll free up services like the Post Office to focus on their non-profit mission.
We'll also allow people to donate to the Treasury, so that if they're concerned about taxation being theft they can give voluntarily.
